  1. I can identify characteristics and properties of angles. I can classify and prove angle relationships (adjacent, complementary, supplementary, vertical, linear, angles formed by parallel lines and a transversal. (approximately 4-5 weeks)
  2. I can use inductive and deductive reasoning to develop mathematical arguments. (conditional statement, converse, inverse, truth value, prove false by counterexample) (1 week)

1. I can describe properties and attributes of lines and line segments.
2. I can prove lines parallel or perpendicular using slope or angle relationships.
3. I can describe spatial relationships using coordinate geometry.

1. I can use properties of special right triangles (30-60-90 & 45-45-90) to solve problems. (2 weeks)
2. I can identify and solve problems using trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, tangent, inverse trig functions). (3 weeks)
  • I can find angles when given ratios and vice versa
  • I can find sides when given angle and side

1. I can analyze characteristics and properties of three-dimensional figures (including prisms, pyramids, cylinders and cones--based upon the shape of their bases).
2. I can develop formulas and find measurements of plane and solid figures.
  • Surface area and volume of polyhedra, cones, cylinders.
  • Perimeter, surface area, lateral area and volume for prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones, and spheres using formulas.
3. I can solve real-world problems using visualization and spatial reasoning, including using the Pythagorean Theorem, distance formula, trigonometric ratios, geometric probability
